Chelsea Houghton

Chelsea Houghton is the Director of Grow Creative NZ.

She has a degree in Media and Communications from the University of Canterbury and a Master of Creative Writing from Massey University.

Chelsea has worked as a publicist and social media/communications strategist and is passionate about growing businesses and getting creative works out into the world. She has a range of experience in working in teaching classes, mentoring, facilitating small groups, and classes in creativity and creative writing.

She has edited both digital and print magazines and has been published for her own writing in a range of New Zealand and international publications.

Chelsea is a current Ph.D. candidate in Media and Communications looking at the impact of the digital realm on organisations. In 2023 she won the First Steps in Governance Award from the Institute of Directors.
